You will serve as a TEST MECHANIC (AIRCRAFT LAUNCHING AND DEVICES) LEADER in the Production Trades Division of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.Requirements:

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below.
This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO INSTRUCT 1) Working with Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE). 2) Demonstrating the ability to develop labor hours and material requirements needed for manufacture, overhaul and testing of ALRE systems and components. 3) Demonstrating familiarity with the use and operations of hand tools, precision measuring equipment and pressurized systems. 4) Possessing a comprehensive knowledge of welding processes, strengths of materials, hydraulics and electricity as they relate to ALRE. 5) Performing and assisting with jobs normally assigned to other trades including pipefitting, electrical wiring, welding, rigging and machining. 6) Leading small groups of artisans with safety and efficiency through depot level ALRE repairs, meeting budget and fleet operation schedules. 7) Speaking in front of diverse groups of various management levels.. I am considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence.
