You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (OS) in the COMMUNICATIONS ARCHITECTURES BRANCH of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.Requirements:
I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: The Branch Head provides supervision, oversight, and coordination for operations and business development, and manages an annual budget in excess of $7M.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: The Branch Head collaborates with other Branches and teams across the Center to grow and diversify the sponsor (customer) base within the Division's five major business areas.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: The selectee must be able to assimilate the purpose and role of the Branch, become familiar with the Branch's personnel and their respective skills and abilities, and ultimately provide mentoring and technical guidance as needed to ensure long-term success for the individual Branch members and the Branch as a whole.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: The selectee will work with the other Team Leads and Division management, as necessary, to resolve personnel issues when they arise. The Branch Head will exercise civilian leadership in carrying out assigned supervisory duties to include coaching, training, and new business development.
In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-11 or NM-03 pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Providing assistance for integrating the perspectives of project managers, division leaders, and/or sponsors to attain comprehensive vision and strategy; collaborating with other branches and/or teams to grow and diversify the sponsor (customer) base.
