Description:

You will serve as a SERVICES SHOP SUPERVISOR I in the TEMPORARY SERVICES SHOP, PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

*Interprets blueprints accompanying job orders, and/as required, prepares layouts, patterns, and sketches.
*Estimates and requisitions tools, materials, and equipment needed.
*Plans division of workload among employees, based of capabilities of assigned and available employees, materials, equipment, on weather conditions, and shift in priority of projects.
*Assigns work to subordinates either by oral or written instructions.
*Secures, issues, oversees, and advises on the use of safety equipment.
