FOR GS-05 : Successful completion of the basic education requirement also meets qualification requirement.The following is desired knowledge for the GS-05 level.
- Some knowledge of work process and capability to apply standard engineering practices.
- Some Knowledge in solving industrial production issues and production support functions;
- Some knowledge of quality reviews, project reviews, audit briefs, and quality investigations disciplines that are less complex than those of characteristics of the GS-07.
- Some knowledge in investigation of root causes of failures and defects, and identification of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) necessary to prevent recurrence
FOR GS-07 : Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lowest grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
- Understanding engineering principles and practices, some knowledge of work processes and ability to apply basic standard engineering practices
- Knowledge in leading teams with team support in solving industrial production issues and production support functions;
- Knowledge of quality reviews, project reviews, audit briefs, and quality investigations with team support and
- Knowledge in providing industrial and quality engineering support with team support for operations, evaluation of production processes, investigation of root causes of failures and defects, and identification of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) necessary to prevent recurrence.
- Intermediate understanding of engineering principles and practices, knowledge of work processes and ability to apply standard engineering practices;
- Ability to Lead teams with team support in solving industrial production issues and production support functions;
- Ability to lead quality with team support for reviews, project reviews, audit briefs, and quality investigations while incorporating inputs from a variety of engineering disciplines that are less complex than those of characteristics of the GS-11; and
- Ability to provide industrial and quality engineering support with team support for operations, evaluation of production processes, investigation of root causes of failures and defects, and identification of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) necessary to prevent recurrence.
- Applying competent knowledge of quality/industrial engineering theories, concepts principles and processes;
- Leading teams with limited support in solving industrial production issues and production support functions;
- Leading quality with limited support for reviews, project reviews, audit briefs, and quality investigations while incorporating inputs from a variety of engineering disciplines that are less complex, lesser scope and impact than those of characteristics of the GS-12; and
- Providing industrial and quality engineering support with limited support for operations, evaluation of production processes, investigation of root causes of failures and defects, and identification of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) necessary to prevent recurrence.
- Applying proficient knowledge of quality/industrial engineering theories, concepts principles and processes;
- Leading teams in solving industrial production issues and production support functions;
- Leading quality management reviews, project reviews, audit briefs, and quality investigations while incorporating inputs from a variety of engineering disciplines; and
- Providing industrial and quality engineering support for operations, evaluation of production processes, investigation of root causes of failures and defects, and identification of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) necessary to prevent recurrence.
