You will serve as a Safety and Electrical Trainer/Inspector in the Public Works Directorate (PW), Resources and Assessment Division Safety Branch at the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Southwest (NAVFAC SW).Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing extensive technical knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and National Fire protection Association and approved publications, regulations, state and local laws to evaluate and recommend significant hazard control techniques to reduce or eliminate unhealthy operations and conditions. 2) Coordinating with engineers, safety managers and other health professionals to recognize job related illnesses. 3) Performing electrical safety design analysis on various machines, systems, processes, and facilities. 5) Implementing occupational safety and health programs for internal and external commands as required. 6) Participating in emergency and accident preparedness in direct relation to actual or potential accidents involving employee health hazards.Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series
