This position is located in the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Program, for activities in the Navy Region Southwest (NRSW). The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the successful and safe operation, custody and maintenance of the Vehicle Storage Lots and Personal Storage Facility, maintaining inventory and control of the associated equipment and supplies.Requirements:
One-year specialized experience in an administrative business operations or recreation settingThree years' experience in recreation, business or other related areas. Must have ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing preferred.
Ability to maintain financial records and budget. Knowledge of storage practices and procedures. Knowledge of methods for promoting programs.
Knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices relating to the administration and development of Vehicle & Personal Storage Programs. Skill in the application and utilization of such knowledge in planning and carrying out a refined program.
Skill in assessing the needs of patrons and determining what programs and events will be of interest to patrons. Knowledge gained through pertinent experience, which enables the incumbent to fully initiate, oversee and carry out projects and programs as directed.
Knowledge and skill to supervise and train staff.
Ability and skill to market a Vehicle and Personal Storage program and motivate eligible patrons.
